Our spiritual master Srila A. C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada left many instructions regarding our relationship with Vrindavan. Hayagriva das records Prabhupadas words to them: “Clean Vrindavan, fix the broken beautiful temples and also show how we can worship the Deities nicely.”
The World Vaisnava Association was registered in 1995. Originally this effort was started as the Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha by Srila Jiva Goswami Prabhupada in Vrindavan 500 years ago. One of the Mandalies presented by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada was Dham Seva. The original famous saints of Vrindavan woukld personally sweep the holy Seva Kunja, Man gali. Prem Gali , Dan Gali and Vamsi vat. Today this mission has impacted Bharat in such a way that millions of people fill Vrindavan ant virtually every day. And they litter and fill the Yamuna with trash. The Government has to create a system of fines for thos who violate the rivers rights not to be used as a trash can.Also the temples should use only leaf plates anfd clay cups to follow the old system which had natural recycling included automatically.
Today all the activists and volunteers are inspired by the Vaisnava Acaryas to be part of the solution which only unity can achieve. We may have many Akaras and ideas, but when it comes to deseases, pollutions, hunger and need for clean water we are all the same. Rich or poor we loose our treasure of holy Vrindavan nature if we remain silent and inactive. that is the inspiration which created Braj Vrindavan act now. No one single person can take the credit to start it but all should feel that they are in charge of the task to serve the Deities, Bhumi Mata, Yamuna devi, Brijbhasis and pilgrims alike.
